Asphalt Laborer/Operator:
Asphalt Laborer/Operator:
- 2401 S. Broadway Ave. Moore, OK 73160, USA - *Full-Time.
Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company – is seeking a Asphalt Laborer to perform a wide range of duties depending that may change depending on the type of project they are working on and the team members they are working with.
Responsibilities:
- Rake/Shovel asphalt in construction area.
- Assist in patching asphalt with hot/cold mix.
- Maintain a clean job site: pick up tools and equipment and secure jobs site each day.
- Material Handling and storage.
- May operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- May assist with craft workers.
Asphalt Laborer/Operator Skills:
Some skills necessary to perform all the different tasks associated with this job:
- Equipment such as – bobcat, front end loader, paver, tractor and screed.
- Detailed oriented and team spirit.
- Measure work area accurately.
Qualifications:
- Physical ability to stand long periods of time.
- Physical ability to bend and crouch.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas.
- Must be adaptable to changes in work environment; frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time: Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
